Programme elements

GateplannerThe Airport CDM programme at Schiphol Airport is made up of several projects, each with their own sector project manager. Information Sharing & CDM Portal focuses on the essential ICT aspects of the programme (gathering, processing and issuing flight and airport information to be exchanged, as well as modifying the airport database and interfaces). Outbound planning is aimed at optimising the scheduling of departing flights (step 3 of basic CDM). Milestone Approach & Procedures integrates the technical side of the CDM programme (determining coordinated working methods for sharing information and flight and resource planning). Communication is also a separate project for the entire programme. Coordination between these various projects and coordination with line managers for the actual implementation are the programme’s critical success factors. This will be managed by a full-time programme manager on behalf of the three initiators Air Traffic Control the Netherlands, KLM and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. More detailed information on the CDM programme at Schiphol Airport can be found in the Operational Concept (only available in English).

Communication

The implementation of CDM at the Schiphol site will have a major impact on a large number of employees within various parties. These employees will be asked to cooperate across organisational borders with colleagues at other companies that operate at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. In addition to training courses and working visits, it is therefore essential that everyone is aware of all developments within the CDM programme. Communication to all target groups will take place via various channels. This website, which has been specially set up for the duration of the programme, will always feature the latest information and will be used as a central resource in the provision of information to all parties.
